An exhibition by Albus Wang featuring Transcending Yin-Yang and Trans Diaspora — two photographic projects exploring trans identity, belonging, and visibility across China and Los Angeles.

Transcending Yin-Yang presents portraits of thirty Chinese transgender individuals from cities and towns across China — part of photographer Albus Wang’s ongoing effort to preserve visibility and document trans lives amid state suppression.

Trans Diaspora extends that narrative to Los Angeles, exploring belongingness, displacement, and the layered experiences of trans individuals in diaspora.

These two projects speak to one another — between continents, between selves — an act of remembrance and becoming.
